SkillWarz gun game tests your mechanical flexibility by swapping your weapon every time you register an elimination. Matches require players to work through an escalating ladder of firearms—from long-range sniper rifles and automatic rifles to secondary sidearms and close-quarters tools—to finish the match first.
Developed by Baltverge Games, SkillWarz offers this competitive format in both solo and cooperative setups across browser builds and dedicated PC releases.
Game Modes: Gun Game vs. Team Gun Game
SkillWarz includes two separate variants of the mode, each altering how eliminations and leaderboard progress function:
- Gun Game (GG): A free-for-all race where every participant competes individually. Each kill you score instantly replaces your current firearm with the next designated gun in the sequence. The first combatant to complete all weapon tiers secures the victory.
- Team Gun Game (TGG): A squad-oriented variation where players are divided into teams (such as Red and Blue). Teammates combine their combat efforts to push their side through the weapon hierarchy together, allowing coordinated support to compensate for teammates struggling with specific weapon tiers.
Both modes are hosted across standard rotation arenas, prototype blockout maps, and community maps, with matches frequently configured to fast-paced score limits.
Weapon Presets and Synchronization Rules
The weapon progression ladder in SkillWarz is governed by developer-configured match presets. According to developer updates and community discussions led by developer OneManArmy on the official game forums, the game features five weapon presets.
Presets and Attachment Randomization
The weapon pools include configurations based on ladder length, notably standard rosters alongside Random 12 and Random 17 configurations:
- Random 12 and Random 17: These presets cycle through 12 or 17 different firearms.
- Synchronized Attachments: To maintain fair competition while providing variety, optics, silencers, and weapon skins in the randomized presets are chosen by the server algorithm and synced across all clients. This ensures every competitor receives the identical sight and weapon configuration for a given tier rather than granting an unfair sight advantage to one side.
- Optics and Sight Variety: The rotation incorporates a wide range of optics, including iron sights, RDS, Mini RDS, Reflex, Kobra, PKAS, Holo, ACOG, FLIR thermal scopes, and dedicated sniper scopes.
Weapons Featured in the Rotation
Depending on the preset and platform version, the Gun Game roster draws from the broader SkillWarz weapon arsenal, which includes:
| Weapon Type | Known Weapons in Rotation |
|---|---|
| Assault Rifles | AK-47, M4A1, AK12, AUG |
| Sniper Rifles | L96A1, M107, M110 |
| Shotguns | KSG-12, DAO-12 |
| Submachine Guns | UZI, K10 |
| Light Machine Guns | MG4 |
| Handguns | Desert Eagle (Deagle), G22, USP, P99 |
| Launchers / Heavy | MLG-140 |
Core Movement and Combat Mechanics
Thriving in Gun Game requires utilizing the game's high-speed parkour engine to compensate for unfavorable weapon matchups:
- Sprinting and Sliding: Pressing the crouch/slide key while at full sprint triggers a slide. This allows you to evade incoming fire at corners or clear low barriers without killing forward momentum.
- Wall-Jumping and Vaulting: Players can rebound directly off vertical walls and vault over ledges to gain elevated pathways, jump pads, or rooftop vantage points.
- Quick Melee: Pressing the melee key executes an instant knife slash. This provides an emergency finishing blow in tight quarters when your current firearm runs empty.
- Fall Damage: Dropping from high bridges, cranes, or ledges inflicts substantial fall damage—often depleting half or more of your health bar—making calculated descents essential.
- Damage Factors: Weapons such as the L96A1 sniper rifle do not guarantee an automatic one-shot kill on every hit. Damage is dictated by engagement distance, bullet drop-off, shot placement (head, torso, or limbs), match type (Normal vs. Hardcore), and whether the opponent has unlocked temporary bonus health or health regeneration perks. Landing headshots remains critical for instantaneous eliminations.
